This shooting happened around the corner from our house. We didn't hear the gunshots because of all the snow.

Here is a quote from the article:

If I could have a dollar for every time I heard parents and family of gangmembers say this, I'd be rich.

I don't know Alexandra or her family, we mostly know the people on our block. For all I know Alexandra's parents are LaRazas too and just covering up. But one of the big problems is that parents have no idea what their kids are doing, or they are choosing to ignore it. I think it says something about how intentionally they are parenting and training and pouring into their kids.

Now obviously, kids will make their own choices, they have free will. But something as serious and consuming as gang involvement needs drastic action... a wake up call.
