U.S. Prepares for 'Day Without Immigrants':

"A rally in Chicago representing the city's Arab, Asian, black, eastern European and Hispanic communities, along with labor groups and religious leaders, could bring out as many as half a million people, organizers say. They urged immigrant workers to ask for time off and encouraged students to get permission to attend the demonstration."

yep, it was a really good march. overall peaceful, but powerful. downtown was packed all the way down randolph street, and the chanting echoed through the coridoors between the buildings.

we went with a couple families from the neighborhood. i think we were the only white people there :) just kidding there were a few others
