we had a great barbeque birthday this weekend for hols and i. we both turned 30 in the past couple months, so we thought it deserved some celebration. growing older is such a good thing, i love it. can't wait to be older, and hopefully wiser.

it was also a good opportunity for our friends from NewLifeChicago.org to meet our neighbors. some of them have met each other, but this was a good chance for them to really talk. the language barrier has made it somewhat difficult for hols and i to connect with some of the neighbor families, but our bilingual church friends really reached out and i could tell God was moving.
