we spent this past weekend with my parents and three brothers in the detroit area. it was great to see them, work on some christmas family gifts together to give to the extendeds, sing carols, worship God together, and exchange stockings.

i dropped holly off in Indiana at her parents', but i'm back in chicago for a day or so to get some work done before the christmas festivities. my drive back to chicago was colored a bit by my muffler falling off on the toll road right after leaving a toll booth. after about 20 minutes of wrestling with the muffler i wrenched the dragging pieces off and was on my way with a very loud car. bless God it didn't happen in a snowy area, or i would have been quite wet.

when i returned i discovered that the castillo's (family of the gunshot victim across the street) came to church for the first time this past sunday.. GLORY
