well, our little boat trip went well. the boat does have a few leaks, but since it is a rowboat and it doesn't sit very low in the water it only pools in the bottom in 2 or 3 small places and doesn't leak further than that. i think i got sunburned out there in the middle of the lake. i forgot there were no trees in the middle of lakes, and hence, no shade.
