apparently, google deleted the listing of the website i linked to earlier with the "financing global terror" sticker. click here
also, i received an email from my uncle regarding George Bush the Christian. coming from a relatively conservative family, i think it is normally assummed that i would be right wing, although im leaning farther and farther away from the right. when i first read that Bush was a born again believer (before he was elected) i was skeptical, but as his term has progressed i've been more convinced that he is probably a true believer (although only God knows the heart). i did vote for Bush because the alternative was scary. However, i grow more left wing as i get older, not sure if it is because i live in Chicago or because of my darned liberal education at public university. Actually i'm torn between left and right depending on the issue. i'm pro life, pro school voucher , pro environment, pro gun control, pro union (with some reforms necessary obviously), pro socialized health care, etc... Obviously this makes voting time a painful time for me and I am rarely pleased with the person i vote for, simply because i always vote pro life.
anyway, i think GW is doing a pretty good job, although i don't agree with everything he does. Right now i have a real estate agent who is a believer, and a man of God, but i think that there are probably better real estate agents out there who aren't christians. So i wonder, does the fact that he is a christian make him a good real estate agent? Similarly, does the fact that a man is a christian make him good at being president? i am a christian, but i hope you never vote me into office. These are questions i ask myself, because obviously many evangelical christians hint that if i don't like GW it is fairly near impossible to be a christian.
