Acts 6:3-10: being like stephen.

Lord, to be filled is an experience that happens at a specific place and time. I love your fillings. But I want to be like Stephen, a man FULL of the Spirit. "A man full" talks about the quality of his life. It was a life which was marked by a fullness of the Spirit of God. I don't want just the fillings Lord, I want the fullness. I want my the quality of my life to be fullness of your Spirit.

God wants me to live in an attitude of plenty and abundance, not want and lack. So much energy is spent and wasted on anxiety towards the future if a life is not lived in an attitude of faith and expectation of what God will do, and so much energy is wasted in spiritual burnout under burdens if a life is not flowing in the river of Gods abundant resources. Stephen had both, he was a man "full of faith" for the future of what God would do (expectation), and full of the Holy Spirit in each moment (abundance), flowing in the river of God's abundant resources in each present situation. Let me be like this oh Lord.
