i bought a new webcam. my old webcam absolutely would not work with windows xp, so I attempted to put it on another pc here at home that has win 98, but xp's simple routing doesn't support IP forwarding. so i ended up buying a new webcam that worked with xp using a gift certificate (yay!) plus coupon code CHNKBKAMZNLT for $5 off (double yay!).

my goal is for it to be the "abi cam." so out of town friends and family can see little abi at certain times throughout the day. if i'm online, you can take a look at it here. if the link doesn't work properly try right clicking on the link and choosing "open in a new browser window."

i'll probably auction off the old webcam on ebay, so if any of you want it, let me know beforehand. it works great with windows 98, the only disadvantage is that it uses a parallel port rather than usb, so if you only have one parallel port you have to choose between your printer and your webcam.
