At the risk of sounding like a certain blogger that I know (and love)
Comments:
ok #1, come on ...... be nice.
#2 i don't see how this is anymore surpirising than eny other type of media charade that they get going on. it's all about news 24/7 nad if they don't have somethign alse to rant about........ I DO think it gives a lot of insight into the desire in this country for spiritual knowledge. people want to know more about the things they believe or don't believe, the sad thing is that the church doesn't really have good answers to many of these questions. the fact that the documents are eronious really has nothing to do with it. It's the questions that arise from them. JMO l.
nah not surprising, just ridiculous and frustrating.
somehow the whole DaVinci code just washed over me and I didn't care much than to spit in its general direction. but the judas thing just burned my ask yeah you're right, there is quite a vacuum out there for spiritual things... unfortunately sensational stories filled with misinformation rush into the vacuum very fast
important note:
i think the only TRUTH I've read in the news lately about spiritual things is this morning when I read that a woman saw Jesus on an easter egg and is selling it on ebay.
you know what really burns my ass, is that i think 85% of the church today believes basic bible doctrine that has no historical accuracy simply becasue thier pastor told them too, or thats what thier parents taught them. Never once picking up a finger to find out for themselves.
That to me is just as bad as non-believers jumping on teh band wagon of some "johnny-come-lately" historical document. i've always asked "why shoudl we expect differently?, how shoudl we expect a 'non-believer' to act? like a believer?" l.
what did i miss here?
